Utah County Race Cats Cross Country Elementary
Practice dates start the week of August 24th and run through October 2nd
$160 registration fee includes:
– Race Cats t-shirt
– 6 weeks of 2X/week training plus 2 chip-timed races
– Our program is all about fun, fitness, self-confidence, and friends!
-The Elementary program is for kids entering K-6th Grade.
We love volunteers
– It takes a village to put on a quality youth running program.
-Kids LOVE running with friends. Help spread the word by inviting your friends and your kids’ friends to join too!

Team practices will be held at the following times and locations (all locations and times subject to change due to drought conditions on our fields):
Highland | Courtney Meldrum | M/W 5:00 – 6:00 | Burgess Park
*Courtney Meldrum is a former elite distance runner and multi-time All-American at Brigham Young University, where she specialized in the 3000-meter steeplechase and set an early world best in the event. A BYU Hall of Famer with a degree in community health, she has translated her competitive experience into coaching, currently serving as head girls cross country and track & field coach at Lone Peak High School in Utah, where her teams have won multiple state titles and earned national recognition. Drawing on her background as an athlete, parent, and youth mentor, Meldrum brings energy, encouragement, and a focus on fun, teamwork, and building lifelong healthy habits to coaching elementary school running programs.
Legacy Elementary | Shay Fuller | W/F 2:30-3:30 | Legacy Elementary School Field
*Shay ran Cross Country and Track through High School and College and has been coaching elementary kids for the last six years. She loves watching kids have fun and do hard things while competing in Cross Country and Track!
Lehi | Looking for coaches | practices TBA
*Interested in coaching? We provide lesson plans, coaching kits, and a small stipend to make a difference in so many children’s lives. Please click the link HERE to learn more and express your interest.
Teams are based on enrollment. Additional practice locations/teams may be added and/or changed. Rain-outs are decided based on condition/safety of the field. Rain alone does not mean practices will be cancelled. Your coach will reach out to you if practice will be cancelled/rescheduled.
Refund Policy: Refunds will be issued until September 12th (minus a $20 processing fee). After September 12th, no refunds will be given. If the season must be cancelled due to unforeseeable reason, we will refund everyone (minus a $20 processing fee).
